Katie Mollon

Katie Mollon is an analog enthusiast based in Michigan, USA. After earning a B.A. in photography, she has continued specializing in experimental photography over the last 15 years. She is passionate about sharing her love of lo-fi cameras, and ways to alter film. 

These images are part of an ongoing project in which 35mm film is soaked in physical materials: modifying its colors, and adding new textures. I am currently exploring ways to use this process to further connect the materials to the images. This roll of film was boiled in water with items foraged between Lake Michigan and the surrounding area: 2 types of mushrooms, pine needles, and a mossy piece of tree bark.
